The tallest snowman -- or in this case snowwoman – ever made was “Olympia” (named for Maine’s Sen. Olympia Snowe). The 122-foot tall snowwoman was constructed by the townspeople of Bethel, Maine, and completed on February 9, 2008.

This massive snowperson won the Guinness Book of Records recognition for tallest snow creation in the world. Her eyes and buttons were truck tires.

It takes about 10,000,000 snowflakes to make a normal-sized snowman, according to Bob Eckstein, author of "The Illustrated History of the Snowman." How many snowflakes do you think it took to make "Olympia"?
